Share Your Experiences in How to Build Your Own Computer and in
Installing a Computer Hardware Upgrade

Learn computer hardware basics: from where to find computer discount hardware to completing a computer hardware upgrade. Share your experiences. Learn from others about how to build your own computer.

When you build your own computer, you learn a lot about computer hardware and how to get your system running. You also learn what not to do: usually by doing the wrong thing, or by learning from others. Share your good and bad experiences here.

Tell us where you found the best quality computer discount hardware; or how successfully you completed a computer hardware upgrade and boosted your system memory or graphics or processing power or ...!

More than almost any other industry, the computer hardware components industry is driven by fast-change. It's hard to keep up!

Once you've been successful at building your own computer, or completing a technically challenging computer hardware upgrade, you will have learned a number of things (how to do it, why certain computer manufacturers are better than others, why certain components work better than others, what not to do, and so on). Use this page to tell us all about those experiences and to help others who want to build their own computer systems.

Building your own system will involve some thinking, some reading and lots of doing! You will learn a lot out of your first experience, and after that first 'build', most people that I know are much more willing and eager to do it again (or to take on the challenge of upgrading when necessary).

If you find some new computer hardware basics that you think are the best, or the worst, share them here.
